Central Washington University Dorm
1963 - Ellensburg, Washington
The Central Washington Dormitories, Phase I and II, provide housing for 500 students. The siting allowed four new buildings and the old dormitory to the north to work together through the creation of large and small courtyard spaces between and around the two groups of buildings. Bricks carved by the architect and others are used to ornament buildings throughout the development. The Student Village, Phase I and II, adds a variety of additional living options for students at the University. The complex, developed as a student village, includes a residence complex of four connected buildings, a group of apartment units and four cooperative houses.
