The College of Engineering Building on the University of Washington campus is comprised
of library, classroom and administrative spaces. The two-building layout encloses a brick paved plaza creating a congenial student meeting place. The library component is open and inviting at the ground floor while the enclosed character of the floor above promotes serious study. The building consists of three identifiable parts - each conceived and located for maximum efficiency and clarity of expression.
