We are proud of our robust intern program at Bassetti, with talented college and high school interns joining us this summer.
This year, our Seattle office hired Jansen Bennett and Amelia Jarvinen from the UW Department of Architecture’s Master of Architecture, along with seniors Naj Ali and Gian Rosario from Seattle Public Schools’ Rainier Beach High School. Jansen will be entering the final year of the Master’s program in the fall. He has spent two summers at Bassetti and is currently working on window reports and surveys for Franklin High School. Amelia has completed the first year of her studies at the UW and is contributing to our Highline High School project. Naj and Gian are assisting with our master planning for several schools in Seattle.
Our Portland office interns included, Matt Davis from the University of Cincinnati’s DAAP (Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning) program, and Andy Pham and Sam Wiegand from Benson Polytechnic High School. Matt is returning to Cincinnati to complete his senior year and is looking forward to translating his Bassetti experience into future professional pursuits in architecture. Throughout the course of the summer, Matt contributed to the Five Oaks Middle School renovation project. Andy and Sam will be entering their senior years at Benson this fall and are developing skills in Revit and AutoCAD for the school’s advanced Architecture 4 class. They worked together on an artifacts assessment, cataloguing historic elements of their school to include in the completed renovation.
We are glad to have this talented group of interns on board this summer. We hope their time with us inspires them to explore, grow, and make a significant mark in architecture!
