Senior Architect

We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Senior Architect for our Portland office.

The qualified candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive management and technical leadership for medium- and large-scale public works projects; and executing projects from pre-design through project closeout, including consultant coordination and client, agency, and technical reviews.

The candidate will demonstrate the ability to be responsible for project management and construction documents. He or she will work directly with the Principal in Charge on all aspects of the project, including business development, contract negotiations, and client relations. In support of the Bassetti team, the successful candidate should meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in architecture
  • 7+ years of experience in a range of architectural skills
  • Licensed to practice architecture in Oregon State
  • Proficiency with Revit, Excel, and Microsoft Project is preferred
  • Ability to work creatively in a collaborative environment during all phases of design
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with K-12 projects is desirable
  • LEED certification is desirable, as well as demonstration of a strong understanding of sustainable design

Intern Architect

We are currently seeking quality candidates for the position of Staff/Intern Architect. The ideal candidate is passionate about architecture, has a strong design sensibility, and appreciates articulating design through the documentation and construction process.

These positions are open for both our Seattle and Portland offices.

Position Description:

  • Prepare design and construction documents and generate detailed solutions to architectural problems
  • Exhibit understanding of design concept and produce design documentation to support that concept
  • Coordinate documentation work with project team
  • Coordinate and manage the construction administration process including interface with owner, contractor, and consultants
  • Contribute to team effort through the spirit of collaboration

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Architecture
  • 2-5 years of experience in a range of architectural skills
  • Revit proficiency required
  • Ability to work both independently and in a highly collaborative team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Knowledgeable about sustainable strategies
  • Ability to manage workload demands between several projects
