Current openings

We are currently seeking outstanding, qualified candidates for the positions of Senior Project Architect and Interior Designer in our Seattle office, and Interior Designer at our Portland office.


Senior Project Architect

The ideal candidate is passionate about architecture and has a strong design sensibility, technical abilities, and seasoned preservation expertise.

Position Description:

  • Lead preservation related work including landmark review process, code reviews, and implementation of preservation technologies
  • Prepare design and construction documents and generate detailed solutions to architectural problems, with an emphasis on historic structures
  • Coordinate documentation work with project team
  • Coordinate and manage the construction administration process, including interface with owner, contractor, and consultants
  • Contribute to team effort through the spirit of collaboration

In support of the Bassetti team, the successful candidate should meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in architecture
  • 10+ years of experience in a range of architectural skills
  • Licensed to practice architecture in a minimum of one state
  • Exhibit strong technical skills including performing quality assurance and constructability reviews
  • Exhibit understanding of design concept and produce design documentation to support that concept
  • Experience with building code analysis, permitting process, and construction administration
  • Revit proficiency required
  • LEED certification is valued as well as demonstration of a strong understanding of sustainable design
  • Ability to work both independently and in a highly collaborative team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage the work demands of several projects
  • Experience with K-12 projects is desirable

Interior Designer

We are seeking qualified candidates for the position of Interior Designer at our Seattle and Portland offices. The ideal candidate has a strong design sensibility, appreciates the process of articulating design through the documentation and construction process, and has the ability to work in a collaborative environment.

Minimum qualifications include:

  • An accredited degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture
  • Intermediate level experience with space planning, finish selections, furniture, and specifications
  • Proficiency in interior construction detailing and construction documentation
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects while effectively meeting deadlines
  • Demonstrated communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Proficiency in Revit required; AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape, InDesign, and Photoshop a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Office required; Newforma a plus

Primary responsibilities will involve working with project teams to develop interior concepts of spaces; produce construction drawings using Revit; develop furniture layouts using Revit; and assisting with FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) research, selection, acquisitions, and installation.

There will be opportunities to attend construction site visits; participate in presentations, in office speakers series, and design critiques; meet with vendors; and assist with maintaining the sample library.
