Greg Hepp Receives A4LE Al Beck Award

June 26, 2017

The Al Beck Award is given every year to an A4LE Washington State Chapter member who exemplifies the principles of service that were so diligently represented by Al Beck’s contributions to the organization. Every spring, past winners assemble to review the merits of the individuals nominated by their peers, then select the one that best epitomizes this dedication.

This year, the Washington State Chapter of the Association for Learning Environments is honored to announce Greg Hepp as the winner of the 2017 Al Beck Award.

Greg had a sharing spirit and commitment to our profession, and specifically to the design of educational facilities. He quietly spearheaded efforts to improve upon our chapter’s mission, embracing the repositioning of the annual Design Exhibits by reinforcing the community required to realize capital projects. He embraced sustainable design, and passed this commitment on to many others in the industry. Quiet at first, once you got to know him you quickly became friends.

The fingerprints Greg placed upon the industry are long lasting, far reaching, and will not be forgotten.
