Jordan Kiel AIA, LEED AP
Jordan leads Bassetti’s collegiate and progressive design / build projects and is currently Chair of the Seattle Landmarks Preservation Board. His excellent communication skills have built strong relationships with both clients and project teams over his nine-year tenure with the firm. In addition, Jordan’s business savvy has been essential in re-shaping the firm’s management and IT systems. Jordan recently led the design and construction of Stewart Middle School in Tacoma and Klahowya Secondary School near Silverdale.
Michael Davis AIA
Michael leads Bassetti’s K-12 educational sector, managing projects of all scales, including the recent completion of five major high schools. He is deeply involved in leadership for the Association for Learning Environments (A4LE), promoting excellence in educational facilities. Over his ten years at Bassetti, Michael’s integrity, ability to empower staff, and creative designs have lifted the firm. He is currently leading Seattle Public Schools’ BEX V Capital Levy project, master planning 18 schools. He also recently completed the design of Lincoln High School in Seattle, a $62 million renovation and modernization of the landmark high school.
Joe Echeverri AIA, LEED AP BD+C
Joe leads Bassetti’s Portland office and has played a key role in the office’s success. He is focused, detailed, and motivates those around him. Joe’s projects include Roosevelt High School, Benson High School, Five Oaks Middle School, Tigard High School, and Tualatin High School. His outstanding design and management skills and deep commitment to sustainability are valuable assets to Bassetti’s leadership team.
Amanda Clausen IIDA, LEED AP
Amanda has led Bassetti’s Interior Design department for the past five years. Her management style epitomizes Bassetti’s collaborative work culture. Amanda’s excellent design skills coupled with her technical leadership have seamlessly integrated interiors documentation into Bassetti’s project deliverables. Deep knowledge of learning environments and her advocacy for healthy interiors make Amanda a vital office resource.
James Howeth AIA
James has shown tremendous leadership throughout his ten years with Bassetti. He has been a role model and mentor to staff with his easygoing demeanor and great sense of humor, while maintaining a professional commitment to his projects. James is a trusted resource for technical detailing, 3-D modeling, and construction administration. He is currently leading the construction process for Lynnwood and Mountlake Terrace elementary schools. He is an integral part of our quality control program, ensuring that our drawings and specifications consistently meet our firm’s standards of excellence.
Ed Noland AIA, LEED AP
For the past six years, Ed has been a vital team member, pushing our designs forward on numerous projects. He has led our in-house design group, encouraging others to participate in the discussion and enriching the design dialogue within the firm. He is a flexible and creative architect who is passionate about his work and is a true collaborator, with both clients and other architects.
Steve Zang Architect, LEED AP
Over his 20 years with Bassetti, Steve’s calm confidence and can-do approach to project leadership has earned him the trust and respect of clients and colleagues alike. Steve is a go-to technical resource for all staff, especially on building code and site design issues. He is an active member of our internal quality assurance team, and is adept at establishing and maintaining excellent client relationships. He is currently leading the design and production of two elementary schools for Edmonds School District.
Mark Smedley Architect, LEED AP
Mark brings seasoned leadership to the management of his projects. Whether complex permitting issues, stakeholder engagement, or internal team coordination, Mark is an effective leader with a wide breadth of valuable experience. His open and engaging communication style lends itself to a strong mentoring approach toward younger staff. He has brought a significant portfolio of contacts to the firm in a potential new market, and has an ability to make a compelling case to prospective clients. He is currently managing two projects, Highline High School and a parking garage for a large corporate campus.
Charlie Bucheit AIA
Throughout his five-year tenure with Bassetti, Charlie has been recognized for dedication to his work and excellent communication with clients and staff. He has the ability to take on multiple tasks while consistently bringing valuable ideas to the table. Charlie is the kind of team member who makes sure those around him succeed. He was instrumental to the recent completion of Arbor Heights School, where he led contract administration during construction.
Greg Vohs AIA, LEED AP
Over the past four years, Greg has led the document production and construction administration for Roosevelt High School in Portland. His technical knowledge, strong listening skills, integrity, and responsive communication style have been critical to the project’s success. He is a role model and mentor for younger staff and is willing to share his experience to help others learn. Greg is a creative problem solver whose technical expertise has been a great resource for the Portland office.
Susan’s broad knowledge, clear communication skills, and commitment to her projects gets results. She is currently managing four school projects while administrating the construction of a landmark fire station. She’s a leader on her projects as well as within the firm, organizing office-wide design critiques and fostering a collaborative team environment. When Susan is involved, you can be sure the client, the team, and the project are well taken care of.
In a little over two years with Bassetti, Elaine has become a critical part of our marketing team, an expert on project signage, and has enhanced most of our projects with rich experiential graphics. Not only is she a strong generator of creative ideas, but she is also an active listener and a pleasure to collaborate with. Elaine’s gift for designing experiential graphics will have a lasting impact on countless projects.
