Senior Architect

We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Senior Architect for our Seattle office.

The qualified candidate will be responsible for providing team management and technical leadership for medium- and large-scale public works projects; and should be able to succeed in all project phases, from pre-design through project closeout.

The candidate will demonstrate the ability to be responsible for construction documents, including code analysis, permitting process coordination, and consultant coordination. He or she will work directly with the Principal in Charge on all aspects of the project. In support of the Bassetti team, the successful candidate should meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in architecture
  • 7+ years of experience in a range of architectural skills
  • Licensed to practice architecture in Washington State
  • Proficiency with Revit, Excel, and Microsoft Project is preferred
  • Ability to work creatively in a collaborative environment during all phases of design
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with K-12 projects is desirable
  • LEED certification is desirable, as well as demonstration of a strong understanding of sustainable design

Intern Architect

We are currently seeking quality candidates for the position of Staff/Intern Architect for our Seattle office. The ideal candidate is passionate about architecture, has a strong design sensibility, and appreciates the process of articulating design through the documentation and construction process.

Position Description:

  • Prepare design and construction documents and generate detailed solutions to architectural problems
  • Exhibit understanding of design concept and produce design documentation to support that concept
  • Coordinate documentation work with project team
  • Coordinate and manage the construction administration process including interface with owner, contractor, and consultants
  • Contribute to team effort through the spirit of collaboration

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in architecture
  • 3-5 years of experience in a range of architectural skills
  • Revit proficiency required
  • Ability to work both independently and in a highly collaborative team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Knowledgeable about sustainable strategies
  • Ability to manage workload demands between several projects

Interior Designer

We are currently seeking quality candidates for the position of Interior Designer to assist our growing interiors group at our Portland office. The ideal candidate has a strong design sensibility, appreciates the process of articulating design through the documentation and construction process, and has the ability to work in a collaborative environment.

Minimum qualifications include:

  • An accredited degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture
  • Three to five years of experience with space planning, finish selections, furniture, and specfications
  • Proficiency in interior construction detailing and construction documentation
  • Strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects while effectively meeting deadlines
  • Demonstrated communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Proficiency in Revit required; AutoCAD, SketchUp, InDesign, and Photoshop a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Office required; Newforma a plus

 

Primary responsibilities will involve working with project teams to develop interior concepts of spaces; produce construction drawings; develop furniture layouts; and assist with FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) research, selection, acquisitions, and installation.

There will be opportunities to attend construction site visits; participate in in-office speaker series, presentations, and design critiques; meet with vendors; and assist with maintaining the sample library.
