Senior Architect – Preservation Architect

We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of a senior Project Architect for our Seattle office. The ideal candidate is passionate about architecture, has a strong design sensibility, technical abilities, and appreciates the process of articulating design through the documentation and construction process.

Position Description:

  • Experience in preservation work, including technical detailing for historic structures and landmark review process
  • Exhibit strong technical skills in quality assurance and constructability
  • Prepare design and construction documents and generate detailed solutions to architectural problems
  • Exhibit understanding of design concept and produce design documentation to support that concept
  • Coordinate documentation work with project team
  • Coordinate and manage the construction administration process including interface with owner, contractor, and consultants
  • Contribute to team effort through the spirit of collaboration

In support of the Bassetti team, the successful candidate should meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in architecture
  • 5+ years of experience in a range of architectural skills including working on preservation
  • Licensed to practice architecture in a minimum of one state
  • Experienced with building code analysis, permitting process, and construction administration
  • Revit proficiency required
  • LEED certification is valued as well as demonstration of a strong understanding of sustainable design
  • Ability to work both independently and in a highly collaborative team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and analytical skills
  • The ability to manage the work demands of several projects
  • Experience with K-12 projects is desirable

Senior Architect – Project Manager

We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of a senior Project Manager for our Portland office. The Project Manager will be responsible for providing comprehensive leadership and management oversight on multiple medium- and large-scale public works projects, including executing projects from pre-design through project closeout to consultant coordination and client, agency, and technical reviews.

The Project Manager will work directly with the Principal in Charge on all aspects of the project, including business development, contract negotiations, and client relations. He or she takes primary responsibility for management of the project’s budget, schedule, and work plan. The Project Manager is also responsible for project quality control, staffing, and resource allocation.

In support of the Bassetti team, the successful candidate should meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in architecture.
  • 10 + years of experience in a range of architectural skills.
  • Licensed to practice architecture in a minimum of one state.
  • Working knowledge of Revit, Excel and Microsoft Project is required.
  • Ability to work creatively in a collaborative environment during all phases of design.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with K-12 projects is desirable.

Design Professional

We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Design Professional for our Seattle office. Junior Specifications Writer

We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of a junior Specifications Writer for our Seattle office. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of specification writing, appreciates the importance of well-prepared and coordinated construction documents, and has an interest in architecture and materials.

Position Description:

  • Collaborate with project design teams to develop project specifications and ensure seamless coordination of contract documents.
  • Assists construction administration team in reviewing substitution submittals to determine appropriateness for and compliance with specifications.
  • Assists senior specifications writer in researching products and updating and maintaining master specifications.
  • Organize the firm’s monthly lunch and learn presentation with product representatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or related field with proven specifications writing experience.
  • Certified Construction Specifier (CCS) preferred. Construction Document Technologist (CDT) required.
  • Minimum three to five years of specifications writing experience. Knowledge of MasterSpec is a plus.
  • Understands the process of product selections and the relationship of building components.
  • Understands public project delivery and requirements.
