Systems Administrator

Bassetti Architects is a vibrant firm of talented and inspired individuals with offices in Seattle and Portland. We specialize in educational and civic work and are motivated by projects that create healthy and lively communities. We are currently seeking quality candidates for the position of Systems Administrator. This Position is for our Seattle office.

Position Description:

  • Diagnose and resolve incidents related to desktops and laptops, Windows OS, hardware, printers, mobile devices and network connectivity
  • Through remote desktop takeover, fulfill requests including installing and upgrading software, and configuring systems and applications
  • Field incoming support requests from end users
  • Deploying end user hardware including computers, monitors, printers, perform swaps, maintenance
  • Remotely deploy software packages
  • Use imaging and deployment tools to install Operating System Images for desktops
  • Assist in the evaluation, installation, and support of third party client hardware and software systems
  • Maintain shared office technology resources including conference room AV systems and video conferencing system
  • Work in Active Directory and Exchange Protection Center to create and manage user profiles and email settings
  • Work in Active Directory and Office 365 admin center to manage user licenses and credentials, distribute and deploy updates and software, as well as manage computer permissions and privileges
  • Organize and inventory Active Directory computers and make tweaks as needed
  • Have a firm grasp of IP-Configurations and remote desktop support for managing servers and licensing distribution for distributed license servers
  • Engage in long range planning for desktop computing standards and support
  • Evaluates current applications and makes recommendations for improvement as needed
  • Communicates with various vendors for additional IT support or escalation when needed
  • Assist with ordering new computers and system-related equipment, software, and supplies, maintaining inventories, logs, and files as necessary
  • Provides training for new and upgraded hardware/software packages
  • Travel to our Portland Office one to two times a month


  • Knowledge of Windows 10 / OS X Desktop Operating Systems
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite / Office 365
  • Knowledge of Teams is a plus
  • Knowledge in Architecture application software is a plus
  • Experience with BlueBeam is a plus
  • Excellent time management skills

  • Ability to learn and articulate technical information and convey to non-technical people
