Earth House Birdhouse receives Honorable Mention Award

earth house BirdHouse receives Honorable Mention Award

Six teams from Bassetti recently took part in the International 2021 Legendary Bird Home Competition. There were 103 submissions and we are proud that the Earth House design has received one of eight Honorable Mentions, while two other Bassetti teams were shortlisted, Branch Office (AKA Trash House) and Bloom House.

The competition, put on by Bee Breeders and Birdly, was created to raise awareness for climate change and the crisis that we face. The Earth House met this challenge by utilizing materials that are customized to each customers geographical location, and creating a zero waste, fully biodegradable bird house with an at-home made adobe mix.

For all of the results fly over to architecturecompetitions.com.

Congratulations to the Earth House team of Dianna Montzka, Kyle Elliot, and Lily Cox-Skall for their Honorable Mention.

SHORTLISTED ENTRIES:

Bloom House by Josh Blue, James Howeth, and James Moehring.

Branch Office (AKA Trash House) by Betty Lou Poston, Lyndon Julien-Sehl, and Matt Primovic.
