Kim Young AIA, LEED AP BD+C, Bassetti Architects is thrilled to announce the elevation of Kim Young to the position of Senior Associate. Kim epitomizes strong, dedicated project and firm leadership abilities, outstanding communication skills, and a highly effective project management approach. She brings integrity and excitement to all elements of project management, and ensures everyone has a seat at the table.

She continues to shepherd the Evergreen High School project for Highline Public Schools, as well as managing the two phase West Sound Technical Skills Center for Bremerton School District, and assisting with bond planning for Issaquah School District. Kim not only embraces, but embodies Bassetti’s mission to foster healthy communities through learning and design.

Kai Bierig, Associate DBIA, Bassetti Architects is pleased to announce that Kai Bierig has been promoted to the level of Associate. Kai is a strong team leader, a versatile architect, and has been integral to delivering on complex educational projects throughout our region. As an Associate, Kai will continue to lead team responsibilities and pursue his exemplary work serving our clients and communities. Kai is also an integral member of Bassetti’s internal Construction Admin workgroup, and also participates as an active member of Association for Learning Environments (A4LE), Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA), and National Organization of Minority Architects (NOMA).


Kai has most recently worked on Benson Polytechnic High School Modernization with Portland Public Schools, Mountain View Middle School Seismic and MEP Upgrades with Beaverton School District, and Evergreen High School and Union High School Music Room Additions with Evergreen School District.
